Canary Yellow in Napa

Well folks it's one of those rare appearances that I talked about a few weeks back.  Yes that's me (Jen).  I am not super comfortable in front of the camera but I decided to suck it up during my trip to Napa Valley.  Really to be honest it was probably the few glasses of wine I had at my first 2 tastings on Monday morning that did it.  The wine relaxed me and I forgot how much I hate the camera, well maybe not totally.  That brings me to the next order of business which is to apologize for our absence over the past week.  I was off to San Diego for a wedding and then took a 2 day trip to Napa.  It was really difficult to find time to  blog while trying to adjust to the time difference and participate in all of the fun activities we had planned.  

Here you can see my favorite shorts of the Summer from JCrew. I am obsessed with yellow all year round so naturally these are my go to bottoms in hot weather. These wedges were an impulse buy right before the trip and they were super comfy from the start to the finish of the day. For those of you that have been to Napa, you already know that the weather is all over the place but at the same time amazing!  It was cool and crisp in the morning which is why I wore the blazer.  I knew it would heat up around noon and so I chose shorts for my bottom half.  While the blazer kept my top half comfortable in the early morning, my legs were covered in chicken skin until the sun peeked out. By then the weather was oh so perfect and the rest of the day was an amazing trip spent with my best friend of 29 years, my hubby and many glasses of vino. What more could a girl ask for  ? :)
