Mix it up for the 4th: Plaid Stripes & Polka Dots

Over the rainy weekend we celebrated my sister's 30th Birthday! It was such a fun weekend spent with family.  We had a delicious Mexican dinner followed by a day at the spa feeling primped and relaxed.  Once the weekend winded down my sister Kim and I decided to pull out all of our clothing that consisted of Red White or Blue in preparation for the 4th.  Warning we both own lots of Madewell & JCrew so apologies for repeats of the same brand, but when you like it you like it.  We included patterns, plaid, stripes, solids and polka dots.  We had a hodge podge of pieces and began to put together some fun looks for this coming Holiday.  We used most of the same accessories throughout.  It showed us that you don't necessarily have to buy anything festive because chances are you already have the goods to look patriotic.  Pull out those striped tees, polka dots, and any accessories with pops of red or blue.  You can go totally basic on your shoes or wear a fun colorful pair. Here are 3 different not so matchy watchy looks we threw together :)
